Barbecue Bacon Jalapeno Popper Crescents
Ingredients:
- 8 jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1 8 oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C
Combine the shredded cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, and softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl
Blend until thoroughly blended
To taste, add more salt and pepper to the cream cheese mixture
Place a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture inside each half of a jalapeo
Place a slice of bacon around each stuffed jalapeo half, making sure to wrap it tightly around the pepper
Split the triangles after opening the crescent roll can
Put a stuffed and bacon-wrapped jalapeo on the triangle formed by the wide end of each crescent roll
Enclose the jalapeo popper completely with the crescent roll dough
The wrapped jalapeo poppers should be put on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the crescent rolls are golden brown, in a preheated oven
Before serving, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool slightly
