Cardamom Roasted Plum Ice Cream



Enjoy the unique tastes of cardamom and roasted plum in this smooth and tasty ice cream. The warm flavor of cardamom goes well with the sweet and sour taste of roasted plums, making a one-of-a-kind and refreshing treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe plums, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 190C 375F

Put the plum halves on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper, cut side up

Pour honey over the plums and sprinkle ground cardamom on top

Warm the oven up and put the plums in it

Roast them for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are soft and caramelized

Take it out of the oven and let it cool down all the way

Blend or process the roasted plums until smooth after they have cooled

Heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt should all be mixed together in a bowl

Stir the mixture with a whisk until the sugar is gone and it's smooth

Add the pureed roasted plum mixture and mix it in well

Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machine's instructions until it's the consistency of soft serve

Putting the ice cream in a container, freeze it for at least 4 hours, or until it gets hard
